Protests against VAT in several areas

The Collective of Trade Associations from several areas including Hambantota, Ambalantota, Ratnapura and Balapitiya staged protests against the increase in the Value Added Tax (VAT) this morning.

Most of the shops in these areas were closed for hours.

    The whole country is suffering cost of living and increase in VAT, but we have Rajitha Senaratne wanting super luxury vehicles for all Ministers!!! What a bunch of hypocrites...
