The principal of Anula Devi Girls' School in Galle was arrested by Bribery Commission officials for accepting Rs. 100,000 as a bribe.
Bribery Commission Director (Investigation) SSP Priyantha Chandrasiri said the principal has allegedly solicited the bribe of Rs. 100,000 from a mother to enroll a child to Grade 1 and was arrested while accepting it in her office today.
She would be produced in the Galle Magistrate's Court. (Darshana Sanjeewa)

no surprise there are many government officers in Sri Lanka getting something providing their services with favoritism. The punishment for this principal should be deducting his salary and deducted amount should be given to the school. His salary should be deducted for at least one year,.

As far as I know every single school Principle in Colombo accepts bribe.
