Prez to retain Law and Order ministry?

President Maithripala Sirisena is reported to have decided to retain the Law and Order ministry under the defense ministry, Government sources said.

There was a separate ministry for Law and Order and Home Affairs but Home Affairs has been assigned to the ministry of Internal, Provincial Councils and Local Government this time.

It is reported that the portfolio of Law and Order would be gazetted under the defense ministry. (Ajantha Kumara Agalakada)

The President is a agricultural farm officer, with some basic knowledge of the farming. Therefore he has to learn ‘Law and Order’ before he does any professional work at the Government Level. After all the mess created by him, he should now study all the rules and basic regulations, before doing something for the country.

President is the head of the cabinet and ministers are answerable to President. But when he takes charge of a Ministry, he does not hold that position any more. He becomes another minister under Prime Minister and answerable to Prime minister.Is this correct?

Mr. President, law and order in Sri Lanka is at its lowest ebb. It takes a person with true grit to tackle law and order in any Country but you, Sir, does not have that qualification and further more, how can you have a grip on law and order when you are globe trotting half of the year. Give the job to a man with balls, will you. It goes without mentioning the one man who can uphold law and order in his own way.
