Joint opposition MP Kumara Welgama said President Maithripala Sirisena had assured them he would consult the Attorney General and legal experts on the possibility of removing the Prime Minister.

The MP told the media after a discussion between the President and the JO that the President requested them to accept ministerial portfolios. “However we refused to do so,” he said. (Lahiru Pothmulla)

After removing PM, President himself should resign and pave the way for Former President,Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa. President should admit his own faults and leave the office respectfully.

If the JO and My3 gets together the corrupt will never be sent behind bars. People voted against MR regime in 2015 expecting the crimes to be investigated and culprits be given necessary punishments. But RW with his government did the same by stealing the public money. If anyone is to say RW is Mr. Clean I will slap his face then and there. He is directly connected to the bond scam which was carried out under his ministry, under his government. If he genuinely didn't know about it, he is nothing but a fool. I only have hope in My3. But the guy lacks a backbone. He will probably team up with MR and our dreams of a corruption free Lanka will burst like soap bubbles.

critical observer Friday, 16 February 2018 03:53 PM

if you think My3 is clean. I feel sorry for you. His daughter , son and brothers are the biggest mafia now. worse than RW MR put together

At the moment we are under heavy foreign influences. For the safety and unity of the country we have to think wisely.Best thing is to form a government and run until elections.Rather than doing big programs continuation of the government is essential.Help of the JO is appreciated.

How can horu of last week be the same horu in this week in politics? Just think of what you heard from the stage back in 2015. You cant hear them today!

We only like to have Buddhism in the constitution. But, not in our living. Considering the number of great buddhist temples and the number of priest, we should be a great country. Unfortunately, the priest are busy doing politics and have no time to teach the pupil. What a failed country we are.

Nothing to talk. Now work has to be done. Before working first get the luxury cars which the M P s are going sold in the auction and that money spend for building houses for the pooor . Give the MPs and Cabinet ministers a C90 bike or a maruti car and go to the village and work
