The Disaster Management Center (DMC) advised the people living on the river banks and low lands areas of the rivers of Kelani, Kalu, Nilwala, Mahaweli, Yan Oya, Maha Oya and Attanagalu Oya are to be vigilant as the water levels are rising.
The DMC said water levels in the areas of Hanwella, Ratnapura, Panadugama, Peradeniya, Nawalapitiya, Horowpatana, Badalgama, Giriulla and Dunamale are rising.
