A spokesman for the commission said Dr. Jayasundara was being questioned by the Investigations Unit attached to the PRECIFAC with regard to a complaint received by the commission over an allegation of importing 100,000 metric tons of rice from an Indian Company against the Cabinet Decisions.

He said the government had incurred a loss of Rs.5 billion due to the transaction.(Ajith Siriwardana)
