The Attorney General obtained a prevention order from Kurunegala Magistrate prohibiting the Municipal Council staff and their representatives from entering the Buwaneka Hotel site pending investigations, AG’s Coordinating Officer State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne said today.
Accordingly, Kurunegala Magistrate A. D. C. S. Hewawasam issued an order prohibiting the Kurunegala Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Municipal Councillors, Municipal Commissioner and Engineer and other members of MC staff and their representatives from entering the site until the police investigations were concluded.
State Counsel Jayaratne said comprehensive investigations were bring carried out by the police into the destruction of Buwaneka Hotel Building in Kurunegala.
