The opposition yesterday said the decision by all Muslim ministers to resign was not only a bad precedent but also a ‘spectacle’ which lacked transparency.
MP Bandula Gunawardana said that they don’t approve all Muslim ministers resigning when only one Muslim Minister has been accused of aiding extremism.
“This sets a bad precedent when all are supporting one person who has been accused. Various allegations were levelled against Minister Rishad Bathiudeen even before the Easter Sunday attacks. Therefore, it is not clear as to why all Muslim ministers decided to resign. No one accused Kabir Hashim or Rauff Hakeem of any wrongdoings. That’s why we suspect that there is a hidden hand behind this spectacle which lacks transparency,” he told a news briefing.
He reiterated that there was no need for all Muslim ministers to resign as not all Muslims were accused of being extremists. (Lahiru Pothmulla)

It’s a very good decision so that people like yourself can’t keep calling all the Muslims as terrorists and keep destroying them.. is you can’t play blame game ..hats of to the Muslim ministers to resign and supporting the investigation instead of playing with the investigation...

Did others resign for the support of Rishad Bathiudeen or security forces's harassment to the other Muslim civilian. This man always bit eccentric.
