A 14-year-old boy died and another was injured when a wall collapsed on a group of students near the ninth mile post on the Siyambalanduwa-Ampara Road yesterday.
Police said the wall of a shop collapsed on a group of students who were waiting for a bus after attending a private class.
The other student, a 15-yer-old boy, who was injured in the accident, was admitted to the Ampara Hospital.
The victim, a student of the Siyambalanduwa Buddhama College was a resident of Pathahagalayaya, succumbed to his injuries upon being admitted to the Siyambalanduwa Hospital.(Monaragala Sumanasiri Gunathileka)
