A total of 10,346 students who sat for the 2019 O/L Examination have obtained ‘9A’ passes and 73.84 per cent of students qualified for the GCE A/L, the examination Department announced.
It said 717,246 applicants were received for the examination out of which 556, 256 sat it.
“A total of 73.84 per cent of students of those that sat the exam qualified for the GCE A/L. The total number of students who passed in mathematics was 66.82 per cent,” the department said.
The O/L Examination was held from December 2 to 12 at 4,989 centres with 542 coordinating centres countrywide. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
