At least nine passengers, including seven women, were hospitalised when a bus they travelling in skidded off the road and toppled in Horowpathana on the Vavuniya-Horowpathana Road last night.
Police said 18 passengers were inside the bus when the accident occurred and the injured were admitted to the Horowpathana Hospital.
Seven passengers who were in critical condition were later transferred to the Anuradhapura Hospital.
