Misusing STF vehicle: Ex-STF Commandant remanded

Security Director of Sri Lanka Cricket and Former Special Task Force (STF) Commandant DIG K. L. M. Sarathchandra was today remanded till December 6, by the Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya on charges of misusing a vehicle attached to the STF.

Sri Lanka Police Special Investigations Unit (SIU) today arrested DIG Sarathchandra, who was also the Coordinating Secretary of Security Division of Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, on charges of misappropriating a STF vehicle causing a Rs. 146, 690 loss to the State. (Shehan Chamika Silva)
