I have been to CommunicAsia (a IT and Telecom Show) last year and during a presentation done by a Singaporean IT company it was revealed that Singapore is fully covered with CCTV cameras with face recognition I am sure the Singapore authorities know where the bank robber (small) is right now.

My money paid for that meal.

Singapore does not want SL to be a competitor. Using Mahendran to increase the interest rates and bring down SL's credit rating is one of the strategies. They would also create problems for Malaysia. Survival of the fittest (albeit a small country).

Mahendran is safe as long as he does not leave Singapore. Although there is an extradition agreement with Singapore, under Singaporean law he can not be extradited to Sri Lanka. In the case of the alleged offense, the perpetrator must necessarily have the nationality of the requesting country.

He seems to be fully enjoying his freedom as a Singapore citizen

Though Ranil managed NCM by promising various to concessions to TNA and other individuals but forth coming provincial council election would be breaking point if he would not bring down Mahendran, JO definitely will accuse him, for his collaboration with bank robbers and people too waiting with wide open eyes,

Dam shame that such a photograph was not taken by the CID. By now CID officers should be working round the clock in Singapore to apprehend this crook. Always the Sri Lankan police depend on information of the general public. Why? Because they are sleeping doing nothing.
