Killing of leopard: 10 suspects remanded till July 3

The 10 suspects, arrested in connection with the brutal killing of a leopard at Ambankulam in Kilinochchi, were yesterday remanded till July 3 by Kilinochchi Magistrate K. Ganesharasa today.

Four more suspects surrendered to Court yesterday making up a total of 10 now in remand custody

The suspects were identified with the help of video footage submitted by the Wildlife officers to the Magistrate's Court.

These people should be humiliated in public and put in jail at least for 10 year... i do not know the punishment / law for this sort of a crime but should send a message to the community with this... Lankan's are behaving like animals soon it will become like somalia

Those were ugly scenes of celebrations after killing dangerous but magnificent animal. But did not our people light fire crackers when a former president of ours was killed by terrorists. They celebrated his death.
