The Joint Opposition (JO) today said it was mulling a no-confidence motion against the Auditor General for making a statement over State loans during the silent period of the election campaign, in what it called a last minute attempt to mislead the voters.
MP Bandula Gunawardana said no political party was allowed to make a response to the Auditor General’s statement because he made it during the silent period of the election campaign. (Lahiru Pothmulla)

He's undertaken his boss's orders. Let him go Bansula.

Now itself JO gunning for the AG, reminds me of CJ Shirani. Back to the dark days again?

Any body speaks about the corruption and waste prior to Jan 2015 - These JOkers will plan a no-confidence motion ! .

All this talk will be over if he is offered the FM post. No one irrespective of the party did anything for the people, did and doing everything for yourself. You all rob our money. That bit is understood by all.

It is not the truth, CBSL made a statement saying AG is wrong
shanthapriya Tuesday, 13 February 2018 02:15 PM
You all are misleading us. We were very vigilant to rules and even did not speak with any body in the polling queue fearing it will be a violation of election law. I even did not smile with the police sergent there. But What MACCO said.He even failed to give the results on time and it was a total failure on the part of the Elec Commissioner. They even miscalculate certain results and seems their officials very week in mathematics also.Only Big talks from MACCO (elec. commissioner) .The whole nation was dissapointed

No faith motion for what?? for telling the truth.?? Auditor General was a hero for them when he came out with the report of the Bond Scam of this regime. Now the same person has become a zero because he had exposed the Loan Scams of the previous regime. Just imagine people trusting parasites like this (on both sides). Disgusting.

He seems to be a shameless person. Yes, He should go.

Here we go. The old rogues are now voicing good governance. I don't think this moron even understand the role of Auditor-General. He is a gate keeper and the present AG is fearless and seems to be reporting true facts. Sadly he will not survive under Namal Preseidency. Sri Lanka in the path of self destruction.

I think he was not referring to any party, just the Govt. Old and new loans both.Seems nothing wrong.
