Minister Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka recently said that he had disapproved the moves of some MPs, who were engaging in scams by selling their vehicle permits.
Addressing the media followed by an event held in Colombo, Minister Fonseka said it was a well-known fact that some MPs engaged in scams by selling their vehicle permits.
“MPs have already received their vehicles permits by this time. I have purchased a vehicle using the permit that I have obtained,” he said.
“The country would face many issues during the next two years because of the debt burden. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe should take special measures in this regard,” he added. (Indika Sri Aravinda)

He lost election because he calls a spade a spade. that in Sri Lanka is politically not correct. Unfortunately people prefer to listen to Wimal Gomaya Mahindananda and Bandula who talk lies having done all the laundry for MR.

These tax free vehicle permits are given so that they can be used to serve the people. Are you doing it?

The Sri Lankan learned legislators pass bills in parliamentt for issuance of vehicle permits to themselves and they sell these permits at black market rates contravening the terms and conditions in regard to the issuance of such permits. What do you think of such Honorable legislators?

These permits must be abolished. As in other countries, the government has to tender for vehicles between the major vehicle manufacturers abroad and not between Sri Lankan vehicle dealers. Official vehicles must be bought by the government and not by the officials.

That will never happen. This is Sri Lanka. Where politicians do the wrong thing all the time but whitewash themselves in the media to dumb citizens months before an election.

Mr President, practice what you preach. Follow Imran Kahn if you are really want to make everything simple. Neither you nor any of your followers have shown any interest in living a simple life.
