Saradiel Friday, 23 November 2018 03:15 PM
You mean expecting a favorable judgement I assume. I have the confidence in those 3 judges. Positive that the decision will go against MS. Lets hope for the best

Hope you are referring to MR's gang. There is too much of a confusion as to who is the "go0vernment". In any case, if it MR's team, hope they will walk off from the earth.

Democrat Friday, 23 November 2018 03:00 PM
Irrespective of party , whats wrong about this whole issue is that Sri Lanka is supposed to be a democratic country with a parliamentary system. if there is a government selected by people at a general election to run for 4-5 years so be it, President cant change that just for his own wish. If we are going to work outside the constitution then the president can even appoint 225 of his own ministers whom he likes ! , so why should the people then be asked? so we are allowing this dangerous path by a president who knows nothing for sure
sach Friday, 23 November 2018 10:43 PM
This is an executive presidential system. The three arms of the governance judiciary, executive and legislature have checks and balances. When executive or judiciary go crazy the parliament can remove them. If the parliament go crazy, who removes it? Before 19A we had an escape route. Now we dont have one. An entire country is suffering from a crisis because a single person is afraid of elections and changed the constitution. (19Amednment)

Eager to know if all the chairs are still there remaining. Not at all a problem for me if they walk out but without causing any further damage.
civicminded Friday, 23 November 2018 10:53 PM
Dear Editor, Government MPs??? I think it's best to report it in the most accurate way without demonstrating partisanship and confusing your readers as well. A group of SLPP MPs walked out. Whether they are govt is still to be determined - judging by their behaviour definitely not worthy of being in govt.
