Former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa arrived at the Special High Court Trial-at- Bar for the hearing of the D.A. Rajapaksa Museum case.
The case against the former Defence Secretary and six others was filed for allegedly misappropriating state funds amounting to Rs 33.9 million during the construction of the D.A. Rajapaksa Museum and Memorial in Medamulana.
Yesterday, the Supreme Court directed the Special High Court to stop hearing further evidence over the D.A. Rajapaksa Museum case till the Supreme Court decided on the appeal made by the Defence over the Jurisdiction of the Special High Court to hear it.
The Supreme Court will take up the appeal again on October 1, 2019.
