Girl cuts mother’s hand

A girl has allegedly injured her mother's hand by cutting it with a knife for reprimanding her over an illicit affair with a man, police said.

The 42-year-old mother had been admitted to the Badulla General Hospital, according to the police.
The incident had taken place at the house of the mother's brother.

The girl has not been arrested as she was absconding. Badulla police are conducting investigations under the instructions of Badulla SSP Chandana Galappatti.(Prasad Rukmal)

depends on the age of the girl. if over 18 not a lot one can do about having a relationship with the man. affair is not an appropriate word to use as it means a worst form of infidelity. we don't know if she is married etc.
