Despite the decision to resume public transport services from Monday (June 8), Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said today that a final decision on this regard will be taken after a discussion to be held with the President tomorrow.
Earlier, the Ministry of Passenger Transport Management said that public transport services would resume from Monday (June 8) after reviewing the public behaviour and in line with health authorities’ instructions on Covid-19.
“ However, in terms of implementing public transport services especially between provinces, the President’s Media Division on Friday (June 5) issued a statement. It said that public transport services could be implemented between districts except for Colombo and Gampaha,” the minister said.(DSB)

All government employees are supposed to report for duty since Monday but no decision has been made as yet and the subject minster says will be decided on Monday. Is it when the public are standing in line at the bus stand and railway stations.
