The Locomotive Engine Operators Union (LEOU) had decided to cancel the scheduled indefinite strike with the assurance given by the General Manager Railways (GMR), Transport Minister, Deputy Minister and the Ministry Secretary.
The LEOU had scheduled to launch an indefinite strike last night against the violation of recruitment procedures through the enrollment of engine drivers of over 45 years of age.

Sanity has prevailed. However, the recruitment procedure and process for locomotive drivers has to be looked into. Wonder if there are 2nd level retired cricketers among the crowd.
