A 45-year-old male, who returned from Kuwait and being treated at the Homagama hospital has died due to Covid-19, reporting the eleventh death from the virus infection in Sri Lanka, the Health Ministry said.
Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka has risen to 1,663, the ministry.
There are 822 active cases under medical care at several hospitals in the country. A total of 801 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals.

Actually it should be 10th, the 9th patient died of Heart Attack, luckily Thondaman was not Muslim, otherwise it would have been 12th corana death.
