Doctor who stole cash from National Hospital, arrested

A 33-year-old doctor who was undergoing training to be a specialist was arrested with Rs.7.9 million worth of cash brought to the National Hospital, Colombo, Senior DIG Deshabandu Thennakoon said.

He said the suspect had robbed three bags of cash while pointing a toy gun and fled the scene.

However, the suspect was arrested soon after.
