Dambulla Mayor arrested over bicycle race

Two persons including the Mayor of Dambulla were arrested today for organising a bicycle race in violation of the restrictions imposed by the government against mass gatherings, police said. The government banned all mass gatherings as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country. The arrested were to be produced before the Dambulla Magistrate today.
