State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake said today the new office bearers elected to the Sri Lanka Cricket Board were corrupt and the ICC should take the responsibility for this.
In a tweet, he said the SLC Interim Committee headed by Roshan Mahanama was the solution to ‘clean’ cricket but the ICC didn't allow it.
“The ICC should take responsibility for this corrupt team returning. The ICC banned the people from betting on cricket but it doesn't matter to our betting chief Sumathipala. He gets his proxies to run SLC for him,” he said.

Well true enough. Sadly, some things will never change in Wonder of Asia

It looks that this Thila fellow has managed to grease the palms of ICC too. Sri Lankans can in a way be proud of him.

Ranjan should be next Presidential candidate.

Ranjan should stop making wild allegations at anyone and everyone. If you cant prove allegations with facts and evidence just shut up.

What Ranjan says is correct but unfortunately in this island, the true facts cannot be used to convict the evil because to many involved and each covering the other - otherwise 95% of the politikkas wouuld have been in jail.

As long as Ranil and Mahinda who are together nothing changes any changes that happened are because of pressure caused by the people

Why does this Joker interfere in things not of his doings. He talks about corruption and drugs but has never officially named any one involved. Typical "One Shot" Yakko celluloid actor. One day soon someone will take " One Shot " at him and that will be his end. GROBR.

Not surprised at comment as saviours are never appreciated by the non-discerning.

That will not be the end, not even the beginning, it will be the beginning of the end of injustice, unethical behaviour and immorality.

Empty vessels make the most noise...and it also acts as a deterrence if anyone is thinking of challenging his utterances. Not everyone wants to play in the mud like Ranjan does.

Nowadays, all Scumbags want to be as office Bearers of SLC !!! If you analyze its the same Douchebags rotating in SLC in the last 2 decades !!! No decent human beings want to face elections in SLC !!!

When 90% of our politicos are corrupt it is no surprise for cricket officials to be corrupt. They work hand in glove

This goes to prove that whether in sports or politics the gullible donkeys can be bought if a few bucks is offered. Ali Baba did this in Parliament and crooked pala did this at SLC.

I appreciate your braveness. Not everyone would dare to make this statement since unpredictable future which can reinstate dictatorship with whom these criminal can associate to protect themselves. I wish you a good luck!
