A 25-year-old Chinese male had been arrested by the Customs at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), while attempting to smuggle out foreign currency bills worth Rs.11.5 million to Singapore yesterday.
The suspect, who was on tourist visa, had in his possession 100,000 currency bills of Singapore Dollar.
The suspect was released after the Customs seized the Singapore Dollars 90,000 that he had in his possession.(T.K.G. Kapila)
