Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister and Former Central Bank Governor, Ajith Nivaard Cabraal today denied social media reports that ‘his son and daughter who had arrived recently in Sri Lanka on a special flight from London, had misbehaved at the airport upon arrival demanding VIP treatment.’
“I would have very much liked to have had a daughter, hence I urge the perpetrators of this post to please reveal to me who my daughter is, as I have only been blessed with two sons,” Mr. Cabraal said in a statement on his public social media platform.
“These posts have been instigated and circulated by certain websites which are either managed by the JVP or managed by JVP sympathizers. My children were not on the Sri Lankan Airlines flight which arrived on the 4th of May 2020. I have two sons; one has been in Colombo throughout and the other is safe overseas. The entire story is a total fabrication and I urge the perpetrators not to instigate such malicious rumors during these trying times. The entire world is battling a crisis and now is not the time to resort to cheap politics. We must all act responsibly and do our part to overcome this pandemic,” Mr. Cabraal stated.

But maybe you can advise the Rajapaksas on the basis of your excellent knowledge of the world economy, how to get the ruined economy of the country back on the road. But probably not, since you already failed as a Central Bank Governor and before that your qualifications had only been enough for a small accountant.

Ajith should not worry about JVP lot. The big one lost his deposit and the six making a mess of the parliament will not even be there after the next election. GROBR.

Quell said Mr . Cabraal, people posting wrong info. Should be exposed. But there are information going around , that some people who came From UK made a hell of a racket , that the facilities of the hotels they were assigned were not upto std. They must be grateful to the govt. that they are back in SL and safe. We see some ungrateful people in these trying times also , SL was the only cuntry I believe which brought people from abroad . Well done !,,,,
