Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) N.V. Lawrence has been tranferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and assigned to assist the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Central Bank Bond Issue.
Police spokesman DIG Priyantha Jayakody said IGP Pujith Jayasundara had made the appointment.
He said ASP Lawrence has 29 years of experience in CID investigations.
President Maithripala Sirisena appointed the Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry in January to investigate the controversial Central Bank bond issue.(Darshana Sanjeewa)
