Eastern Governor and a former defence secretary Austin Fernando is to be appointed as the Secretary to the President soon, sources said.
The post fell vacant after the resignation of P.B.Abeykoon on Friday.

Not a good choice at all. This shameless man got his son in law appointed to the Sri Lanka High Commission in London as soon as the Yahapalanaya came into power. His son in law is a British citizen who owns a house in London. He has now given his house on rent and lives in the house provided by the government. With this arrangement, he makes well over 5000 a month. Shame to you Austin Fernando. You are not an honest public servant!
