Mersily Thomas, the Indian national who was in remand custody over the alleged assassination plot on President Maithripala Sirisena and other VVIPS, was discharged from the case by the Fort Magistrate today.
However, former DIG of the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) Nalaka de Silva was further remanded till March 6.

The CID is no fool to have kept this Indian guy in custody for many months if he was an innocent individual. Now the CID has succumb to the pressure from India.
