A Buddhist monk who sustained critical injuries following the Aranthalawa Massacre filed a Fundamental Rights petition in the Supreme Court seeking an order to prosecute any living terrorist involved in the massacre.

Ven. Andaulpatha Buddhasara Thera filed this petition today naming Acting IGP, State Intelligence Director and the Attorney General as respondents.

Thirty-three Buddhist monks, most of them young novice monks, and four civilians were killed by the LTTE at Aranthalawa in 1987.

How about 100,000 innocent civilians killed in 2009... can anyone file action against perpetrators? Law and order must be equal to every human life... which is matters..

Good move, the charges should not only be filed against the living terrorists in Sri Lanka but also in the western countries (UK, Canada, USA, Europe). If the western countries do not cooperate then it would be proof that these countries are supporting terrorism.
