Proposals have been made to procure 163 new Ashok Leyland engine kits for Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) under Indian assistance, Cabinet Co-Spokesman Gayantha Karunathilake said.
Meanwhile, approval has been granted for 20 container carrier wagons and 30 Fuel Tank Wagons for Sri Lanka Railways Department.
The proposal was made by the Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva. (Chaturanga Pradeep)

Thats good news! SLTB needed this! but now the ministry must make sure that these engines are maintained accordingly!
