Krishan Nilanga Dabare alias ' Beba', a close associate of underworld figures 'Angoda Lokka' and 'Athurugiriya Ladiya' had been arrested by the STF while in possession of heroin in Athurugiriya last night.
STF said the 26-year-old suspect who was allegedly part of an organized criminal group was arrested with 3.1 grams of heroin, following an intelligence tip-off.
Investigations revealed that the suspect was on bail over the alleged assassination of Nimalsiri Perera alias ‘Podi Sudu’ in Athurugiriya in 2018 and over the shooting at former State Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe’s secretary house at Athurugiriya in 2018.
STF said the suspect was also in custody over a shooting in Thalangama in February, 2018 where a man was killed and woman was injured.
Following the interrogation, it was revealed that the suspect had close contacts with Angoda Lokka and Athurugiriya Ladiya who are peddling drugs and part of an organized overseas crime group.
Gangster ‘Beba’ was operating a manpower agency and had threatened several individuals, forcibly engaging them at housing and hotel construction sites in Athurugiriya.
The suspect was handed over to the Athurugiriya Police for further investigation.
STF team led by CI Nadeeka Silva conducted the raid on the instructions of STF Commandant.

So he was a suspect or in custody over several offences since 2018 and yet roaming around Athurugiriya for two years. Great Police and Law enforcement in Sri Lanka to be admired.

The local police could have caught him in the last two years but they didn’t. So now the STF is sent to arrest him and the STF is being projected as “super fighters”. We the people are fed up with the STF shows.
