Mahasohon Balakaya leader Amith Weerasinghe was further-remanded till June 4 by Colombo Additional Magistrate chalani Perera today.
He was arrested on May 14 under emergency regulations on charges of breaching religious reconciliation and public peace.
The special investigative unit of the police, which made the arrest of the suspect, submitted a summery of the charges levelled against him to the court.
The Additional Magistrate said an order on giving bail to the suspect would be made on June 4 after going through relevant Acts and regulations. (Nimanthi Ranasinghe)
