96 injured in bus collision

A total of 96 persons were injured when two private buses collided head on in the Polgolla area in Gokarella a short while ago.

All of them were admitted to the Kurunegala General Hospital and out of them 16 are in a serious condition, the police said. One bus was heading to Medirigiriya and the other was heading to Colombo from Kaduruwela. (SD & PJ)

    definitely reckless. Police will not charge the guy for sure.. they only wait for people to juust brush the white line so that they can make a huge seen, big offenses are just ignored.

    Police never charge the busadrivers because they are in their payroll monthly basis.

    this the most dangerous road to drive in Sri Lanka (Kurunegala - Dabulla) . really scary to see how these bus drivers and lorry drivers drive... i think traffic police need to come up with a special plan to crack down these crazy drivers..

    You are really right, Specially the police should keep an eye of the three wheelers, private buses, tractors, tipers, long vehicals
    These vehicals are driven at a very high speed without following the rules and regulations, where as the police are blind.
