An 86 year old man in Ambalangoda today sat for the Buddhist Dhamma school final year exam with students over 60 years younger than him. The retired worker, P. Richard, is himself a Dhamma school teacher but had not sat for his final exam. (Courtesy Lankadeepa)

hmmm.....looks like people from Ambalangoda wants to try things differently...We had a joker from the same area who tried to overtake his former master and try to become the president of the country....
I guess this Dhamma school teacher's is not that sort of a person.

Age is no barrier. We retire people from work after 55 or latest 60 saying that they are not fit to run offices or do work. But then look at all these politicians - presidents, prime ministers, ministers, MPs- how many of them are over 55-60? not only in SL even in other countries - they are not fit to run offices but they are fit enough to run the country!!! So why are we retiring people from work at 55?
