At least 50 officials, who were on election duty at the Royal College, were admitted to the National Hospital, Colombo today due to food poisoning, hospital sources said.
Sources said the individuals had found themselves unfit after they had their breakfast.
Police said investigations into the incident are being carried out by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD). (Sheain Fernandopulle)

A parting gift from a failed regime to the public servants. If the government cannot handle this simple task how can we expect it to handle the affairs of the state. Incidentally, the shortage of gas continues unabated with the authorities throwing a blind eye on the problem.
