18 months imprisonment for suppressing info. of LTTE Cadre

The Colombo High Court sentenced an accused for 18 months imprisonment for intentionally suppressing information of an LTTE Cadre.
 
Colombo High Court Judge Sunil Rajapaksa imposed this jail sentence on the accused Philip Anthony who intentionally suppressed information from the security forces about an LTTE Cadre who carried out island wide bomb blasts in buses and in crowded places.
 
During the inquiry the accused Anthony Philip pleaded guilty for suppressing information from the security forces over the LTTE cadre Vendhal who carried out bomb blasts in buses and in crowded places island wide.
 
The Attorney General had indicted the accused before the High Court for suppressing information of the LTTE cadre. (T.Farook Thajudeen)
