17 students injured in accident

At least seventeen school children were injured when the school bus they were travelling in fell into a slope in Karawila in the Ella- Badalkumbura main road this morning, police said.

The injured students were admitted to the Badalkumbura and Sirigala Hospitals. All of them have received minor injuries according to hospital authorities. (Prassana Padmasiri)

    Ministry of highways & public transport along with the police should be should implement and monitor all safety measures until it becomes a habit for all commuters.

    We are really sad about these "ape podi evun" those will lose education for couple of weeks.........it's lucky their lives are not at risk...............senseless and reckless drivers must be punished

    Although there are 99 Ministers and deputies but non of them to check and control this menace.

    Are there any one who can control this reckless drivers and poor quality buses...?
    This the biggest killer even bypassing the record created by prabhakaran....
