13 schools in Gampaha closed for nominations

Thirteen schools in Gampaha have been asked to close today because of it being the last day for handing over nominations for the elections to the Western Provincial Council, the Zonal Education Department said.

This follows a request made by the Gampaha Additional Elections Commissioner (EC) that the following schools by either fully closed for the day or at least be closed by 10.30 a.m.

All roads in the Gampaha Town were also closed from 10.30 a.m. on a directive by the Additional EC. (Chaturanga Pradeep)

02 Rathnawali Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha
03 Yasodara Deve Balika Vidyalya, Gampaha
04 Sri Siddhartha Kumara Maha Vidyalaya, Gampaha
05 Gothami Kanishta Vidyalaya, Gampaha
06 Henarathgoda Keppetipola Maha Viduyalaya, Gampaha
07 Sri Bodhi Vidyalaya, Gampaha
08 Thakshila Maha Vidyalaya, Gampaha
09 Bandarawatta Parakrama Maha Vidyalaya, Gampaha
10 Bendiyamulla Gajaba Kanishta Vidyalaya. Gampaha
11 Vijitha Vidyalaya Indigolla, Gampaha
12 Holy Cross College, Gampaha
13 Sumedha College, Gampaha
