Two young men allegedly planning a crime arrested

Two young men aged 21 and 22 travelling by vehicles bearing forged number plates were arrested near a culvert at Modara yesterday.

They were in possession of a pistol of a foreign make with eight rounds of ammunition and a large Manna knife. Police said.

Police suspect that the two men are members of an underworld gang and that they were planning a crime.
