actually there are 5 states of drunkenness , as i learnt in university.
1. mee padama - meeya (rat) is a silent creature so at this stage the drunk becomes silent, sometimes more silent than when he is sober.
2. gira padama - girawa (parrot) is a talkative creature so at this stage the drunk becomes talkative, jabbering on non-stop.
3. bambara padama - bambara (bee, hornet, wasp - take ur pick) is an active creature so at this stage the drunk becomes a singer and a dancer. this is supposed to be the ideal level to be drunk :)
4. kabara padama - kabaraya is used in slang to mean puking so at this state the drunk starts regurgitating all he had before drinking.
5. balu padama - balla (dog) is a 4-legged creature and at this stage the drunk too is on 4 legs!!!
