A sergeant attached to the Athurugiriya Police has complained that Deputy Justice Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe had threatened him when he requested the deputy justice minister to refrain from holding a road show at the Habarakada junction in Homagama last night.

He had visited the scene after receiving a phone call on 119 that the programme was causing a public nuisance.

However, the programme had been stopped soon after.(Buddika Kumarasiri)

What a change, now we can hear voice against Ministers also by police, before they were controlled by politicians, I feel the change goodness is working now. Democracy with its best strength, Will take this to Aug 17th and make it more firm.
