Six students injured during lab experiment

Six students were hospitalised with burn injuries resulting from being exposed to some chemicals after a beaker exploded at the Dewatapitiya School laboratory in Chilaw, Police said.

Those injured were admitted to the Chilaw Hospital.

EITHER THE BEAKER IS SUBSTANDARD OR THE TEACHER IS SUBSTANDARD, CHECK WEATHER THE BEAKER IS PYREX OR BORO SILICATE, BUT PYREX IS THE BEST.

Make using goggles compulsory in all school Labs. They are not expensive.
