These days, it seems that even if a dog shits on the road, MR idiots will blame it on Yahapalanaya. Ignorant idiots. It is sad that such fools are there in this great country.

Simply shows where we are as a nation with the law gone bananas. Who in the world took the trouble to take this to court when real rogues are getting together to hoodwink the people again?
RK Wednesday, 01 July 2015 12:59 PM
what a stupidity of the cop who arrested the underaged for a minor issue. If the cop was an adult he should have simply warn the kid and explain him about the obstruction, instead he takes him to the courts. Shame on you the police service for having such immature kids working in your department as cops
ANTON Wednesday, 01 July 2015 01:06 PM

What did the same police do when the roads were closed and packed with sand bags for the night races in the streets in Colombo and Kandy.

People of sri lanka have no respect for 90% of the cops or politicians, they should just quit.
Prem Nath Wednesday, 01 July 2015 12:28 PM
Cricket is not a game that could be played alone or with three stumps and 2 chairs. This boy I presume has been the target for some other reason only known to the complainant.

This little boy was innocently playing cricket and was produced in court as though it was a crime, What is the POLICE doing about the BIG DRUG BUSINESSMAN? who are selling their drugs on the pavements? Its always the poor that is penalized?
Buddhika Lokubandara Thursday, 02 July 2015 12:36 PM
Oh Lord! what a country. All those sharks and Barracudas who played cricket with the countries wealth and who are still landing sixers a roaming freely. But a small underage boy, who plays cricket on the street is arrested by the police. It is our opinion that the the police who arrested this little fellow, should be charged for harrassment.
leel Thursday, 02 July 2015 02:30 PM
No, he was playing it with those two police guys and later with judge.

Street cricketer Ravi Wednesday, 01 July 2015 12:22 PM
Common people, is this such a major punishable offence and do you think this needs to be brought to the courts wasting public funds and time of judiciary..? Would like to see the person who lodged the complaint first of all.
Waco Wednesday, 01 July 2015 12:13 PM
Police should have verbally warned and sent him away.

The major criminal offence that lanka needs to deal urgentl.
Stunned Citizen Wednesday, 01 July 2015 11:23 AM
You should probably look for the bigger fish who have played pandu with tax payers money. Reward this child for playing rather than sitting at home on some electronic device and passing time. Its a rare sight these days to see children in the neighbourhood playing.
Grace Wednesday, 01 July 2015 11:18 AM
Did he played alone with two chairs..so one was the bowler the other keeper ...!!!!
