Thirty MPs of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) were reportedly holding a meeting with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa at his Carlton Residence in Tangalle, sources said.

They said MPs Wimal Weerawansa, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Dinesh Gunawardane, Bandula Gunawardane, T.B. Ekanayake, Kumara Welgama, Arundika Fernando, Johnston Fernando, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardane, Keheliya Rambukwelle, Geethanjana Gunawardena, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Salinda Dissanayake, Lakshman Wasantha Perera and Sarath Weerasekara were among those at the meeting (Sanath Gamage)

Mahinda was the president made srilankan economy in to one of the best economy in asia .of course he is the best economical administrater since independence of srilanka but he is a very hard ruler and a dictator. This UNP government is utter poor in economic management. In my eleven years experience in private sector this is the first new year that we did not get our April bonus. Companies are on that much of economic crisis, government does not have money , not even a cent of foreign investment is not coming to srilanka, more and more tax burden on private sector , more than that 99 % of srilankanas are not having a satisfied food that they have entertained in last years , Starvation in villages with out food. This government is going like previous poor administrations like premadasa and chandrika .people are not searching mahinda because they are loving him because of this UNP governments poor performance in economy, this is a bitter truth as voter who voted for MY3 last time
