May be royalist introduced the bicycle parade, so who cares? No one would give the Nobel prize for them to that. We Thurstan - Isipatha have the best traditions into a big match. Only parade two brother schools done together. Only big match where two rivals holds the flags of and do the spell of other school.after all i wish all the Thurstanites to bring the title to where it belongs!

As a past Thurstan captain I am very happy to see the game played with true brotherhood. As per late Mr. P.M.Jayatileke, let the best team win. Mr. Jayatileke taught us on how to be proud of having our own big match. In 1968 he was instrumental in taking the big match to another level.
