Mr. Gamunu... Stop complaining.... The fuel price is reduced and proportionately the bus fair was also reduced. The private bus owners are spending less on fuel now so there can not be any loss by the reduction of bus fair. If the conductor/Driver are not honest and are playing with the bus owner or passengers (not returning the balance) then this will have to be look into by you in a different angle instead of blaming the good done by reducing the fuel price.

You must be joking Mister.I travelled with a private bus to Dambulla recently from Kandy. The fare was 93 rupees and I gave 100 rupees and I never got the 7 rupees back.On my return I took a CTB bus.The fare was 90 rupees and I got 10 rupees back. The Conductors are cheating the passengers. What nonsencence are you talking.

this guy admits that by way of cheating the commuters he has made more income. Will the Law take action against him? We know he is an UNPer, but the Party has said that irrespective party affiliation, action would be taken against law-breakers !!

This means, your conductors are not issuing tickets.
Veritas Thursday, 26 February 2015 10:38 AM
A fool! They should have been returning the 1 rupee when the minimum fare was nine and one had given ten. I made every effort to always have nine rupees when travelling on a short route! But then, honesty is not a strong suit in this culture.
