Central Provincial Councilor Aazath Sally today denied the allegation that he threatned CJ Mohan Pieris.

He said that he had visited Mr. Peiris at his residence for 45 minutes. He said the discussion centred on his resignation from the post of the Chief Justice.

"If there was a threat he should have informed the security officers or the police; but he did not done so," he said.

First of all he is not a western provincial Councilor. Any one who is trying to take the lay into their own hands should be punished under applicable criminal code of conduct irrespective of his or hers pristine positions at religious, spiritual, social, political or diplomatic level.

Asath Sally has no right whatsoever to interfere with the judiciary of the country, there is a Justice Minister and appropriate authorities who can handle the issue with CJ in appropriate manner. He is still the CJ as per the crimes there is a decent system to punish him but not burst into existing low of the country and we must respect him, if the CJ has committed his house and threaten him, we condemn this kind of barbaric acts in the strongest possible terms

In what capacity did he visit the CJ? If he was not welcome CJ could have turned him back at the gate. Why should CJ waste his time do meet this guy? Claims from both side donot have any credibility?
