Two Pakistani men, who pleaded guilty to charges of possessing and peddling 1560 grammes of heroin in Bambalapitiya in 2012, were today sentenced to death by Colombo High Court Judge Irangani Perera.
The accused Megmab Kumar and Fasad Nassar had been arrested by police on or around November 11, 2012 on the charge of possessing and peddling 1560 grammes of heroin. The Attorney General had indicted the accused under the Poisons, Opium and Dangerous Drugs (Amendment) Act No. 13 of 1984. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
